About

Why I Started Root & Bloom

Root & Bloom was born during one of the most transformative seasons of my life—motherhood. As a long-time RN, I’ve spent over a decade caring for others, but becoming a mother shifted something in me. It opened a new level of purpose, intuition, and creativity that I couldn’t ignore.

As I prepared for life with two little ones under two, I found myself searching for a space where motherhood, homemaking, and holistic living could exist together in a simple, grounded way. A place where I could share everything I was learning, loving, and creating—while also building a community of women who value the same things.

I didn’t see that space… so I created it.

Root & Bloom is my way of weaving together all the parts of who I am:
• a mother who wants to raise mindful, curious children
• a homemaker who takes pride in creating a cozy, intentional home
• a nurse who believes in informed, holistic living
• a woman who loves gardening, natural beauty, and simple joys
• a creative who finds magic in everyday moments

The name Root & Bloom reflects how I view motherhood and homemaking:
we root ourselves in what matters most—our values, our families, our homes—and from there, we bloom into who we’re meant to be.

This blog is where I share the tools, ideas, products, and practices that support this lifestyle—from Montessori learning and low-tox living to home décor finds, everyday wellness, and the little systems that make a home feel cared for.

My hope is that this space feels like a breath of fresh air. A soft corner of the internet where you can be inspired, feel understood, and find practical things that make your motherhood journey a little lighter and more beautiful.

Thank you for being here and allowing me to share this piece of my heart with you. I’m so excited to grow and bloom together. 🌿✨
